Quartz for researchers

Find the question inside the disagreement.

A second interpretation can reveal an assumption you missed. Bring a claim and the evidence behind it to Quartz, compare how different models read it, and use the differences to decide what needs checking next.

Give the models something to examine

Start with a short account of the claim, a few relevant excerpts, and the limits of the evidence. Ask for alternative explanations, not an authoritative conclusion from a topic alone.

The homepage demo does not browse the web or fetch private sources. Use it to examine the context you provide. Do the source collection and verification in a workflow suited to those jobs.

A question to start with

Read agreement carefully

A common interpretation can tell you where to begin, but it does not verify the claim. The models may share a source, an assumption, or an error. Trace important statements back to the evidence you supplied.

Ask what the evidence cannot establish. That question often makes the boundary of a conclusion clearer than another request for a summary.

Turn a difference into a research task

If two responses recommend different next steps, ask what uncertainty each step resolves. Prefer the step that distinguishes plausible explanations, fits your resources, and could change the conclusion.

Keep the resulting question and its rationale in the document. Quartz lets you carry selected text out of the conversation and continue developing it in context.

Write what the evidence supports

Separate observations, interpretations, and open questions in the final draft. A useful discussion can end with a narrower claim. That is progress when it better matches what you know.

A few practical questions

The short ones are here. For anything else, ask below.

Does agreement between AIs mean the answer is correct?

No. Agreement can help you identify a common view, but models can share an error. Check important claims against original evidence. Different answers are a reason to investigate, not a vote you have to follow.

Does Quartz verify citations?

Do not treat a model response as citation verification. Check the original source, the quoted passage, and whether it supports the claim.
